Jvann Martin - W4JVM
SECTION MANAGER
The Section Manager is accountable for carrying out the duties of the office in accordance with ARRL policies established by the Board of Directors and shall act in the best interests of Amateur Radio.
The Section Manager (SM) recruits, appoints, and supervises section-level staff to administer the Field Organization’s principal areas of responsibility in the section. These areas are emergency communications, message traffic relay, technical activity / problem solving, volunteer monitoring, government relations, public relations in the general community, information services for amateurs, and cooperation with affiliated clubs.

ASSISTANT SECTION MANAGER
The ASM may serve as a general assistant to the Section Manager or as a specialist. That is, the ASM may assist the Section Manager with general leadership matters as the Section Manager’s understudy, or the ASM may be assigned to handle a specific important function that does not fall within the scope of the duties of the Section Manager’s other assistants.
At the Section Manager’s discretion, the ASM may be designated as the recommended successor to the incumbent Section Manager, in case the Section Manager resigns or is otherwise unable to finish the term of office.

That is, the ASM may assist the Section Manager with general leadership matters as the Section Manager’s understudy, or the ASM may be assigned to handle a specific important function that does not fall within the scope of the duties of the Section Manager’s other assistants.
At the Section Manager’s discretion, the ASM may be designated as the recommended successor to the incumbent Section Manager, in case the Section Manager resigns or is otherwise unable to finish the term of office.
The ASM should be familiar with the “Guidelines for the ARRL Section Manager,” which contains the fundamentals of general section management.

David Gillespie - W4LHQ
SECTION EMERGENCY COORDINATOR
The SEC is the assistant to the SM for emergency preparedness. The SEC is appointed by the SM to take care of all matters pertaining to emergency communications and the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) on a sectionwide basis. The SEC post is one of top importance in the section and the individual appointed to it should devote all possible energy and effort to this one challenging organizational program for Amateur Radio. There is only one SEC appointed in each section of the ARRL Field Organization.
Encourage all groups of community amateurs to establish a local emergency organization.
Advise the SM on all section emergency policy and planning, including the development of a section emergency communications plan.

Edward Tyler - N4EDT
PUBLIC INFORMATION COORDINATOR
The ARRL Public Information Coordinator (PIC) is a section-level official appointed by and reports to the Section Manager (SM) as the section’s expert on public information and public relations matters.
The PIC is responsible for organizing, training, guiding and coordinating the activities of the Public Information Officers (PIOs) within the section.
Goals may range from recruiting potential hams for a licensing course to improving public awareness of amateurs’ service to the community. A successful PIC effectively conveys a story and generates the desired results. PR activities must be well-timed and well-coordinated within the amateur community, so that clubs, Elmers, instructors and so on are prepared to deal with the interest the PR generates.

Christopher Hall - K4LIA
STATE GOVERNMENT LIAISON
The Local Government Liaison (LGL) monitors local government dockets consistently, offers local, organized support quickly when necessary, and is known in the local amateur community as the point man for local government problems. LGLs are appointed by and report to the Section Manager, or State Government Liaison (acting under delegated authority from the SM).
Monitors proposals and actions by local government bodies and officials which may affect Amateur Radio, for working with the local PIO to alert section leadership officials and area amateurs to any such proposals or actions, and for coordinating local responses.

Richard M. Battles - WB4BYQ
SECTION TRAFFIC MANAGER
The Section Traffic manager (STM) is appointed by the Section Manager to supervise traffic handling organization at the section level–that is, to coordinate all traffic efforts within the section, regardless of mode or National Traffic System affiliation, so that routings within the section and connections with other networks and digital traffic nodes will result in orderly and efficient traffic flow.
Establish, administer, and promote a traffic handling program at the section level, based on, but not restricted to, National Traffic System networks. Maintain familiarity with proper traffic handling and directed net procedures applicable to all normally-used modes within the section.

John A. Outland - K3FP
AFFILIATED CLUB COORDINATOR
The ACC is the primary contact and resource person for each Amateur Radio club in the section, specializing in motivating, providing assistance and coordinating joint activities of radio clubs. The ACC is appointed by, and reports to, the Section Manager.
Get to know the Amateur Radio clubs’ members and officers person to person in his section. Learn their needs, strengths and interests and work with them to make clubs effective resources in their communities and more enjoyable for their members. Ensure that annual reports (updates officers, liaison mailing addresses etc.) are forthcoming from all affiliated clubs.

Bryant Rascoll - KG5HVO
SECTION YOUTH COORDINATOR
Maintain a current assessment of active youth amateur radio operators in the section, including those involved within clubs, Scouting and other youth organizations, and schools
Promote youth-related on-air activities including ARRL Kid’s Day, Jamboree on the Air (JOTA), Field Day, and School Club Roundup
Provide youth related ideas and resources to amateur radio clubs and individuals within the section
Collaborate with the Affiliated Club Coordinator to assess youth activity with ARRL affiliated clubs; provide resources and ideas as needed; encourage youth-related program and activities within clubs

Lee George - AK4QA
OFFICIAL OBSERVER COORDINATOR
The OOC is an ARRL section-level leadership official, appointed by the Section Manager, for two related purposes: to supervise the maintenance monitoring work of the section Official Observers, and to coordinate special Amateur Auxiliary efforts with Headquarters and the SM.
The Official Observer program has operated for more than a half century. In this time, OO appointees have assisted thousands of amateurs whose signals, or operating procedures, were not in compliance with the FCC regulations. The function of the OO is to listen for amateurs who might otherwise come to the attention of the FCC and to advise them by mail of the irregularity observed.

Huey Welch - K4HDW
TECHNICAL COORDINATOR
The ARRL Technical Coordinator (TC) is a section-level official appointed by the Section Manager to coordinate all technical activities within the section.
The Technical Coordinator reports to the Section Manager and is expected to maintain contact with other section-level appointees as appropriate to insure a unified ARRL Field Organization within the section. Supervise and coordinate the work of the section’s Technical Specialists (TS).
